Circa Survive - Violent Waves

Circa Survive have a new album. Yes, it's ace. Read why, here...

Skyscraping in scope and with a matched level of ambition, intelligence and intensity, Circa Survive’s fourth effort is a blistering return to form and recalls the scene-slaying heights of 2007’s ‘On Letting Go’. Though the musical landscape has changed considerably, Circa Survive have managed to stay both relevant and utterly compelling – not just surviving but thriving. The Philadelphia quintet have always been about more than Anthony Green’s brilliant banshee vocals, and on ‘Violent Waves’ they once again whirl a brilliant maelstrom of soaring, delayed guitars and chest-splitting rhythms. Terrific.
