We Are Fiction - We Are Fiction

Rating: 7

Highly influenced by the Alexisonfire blueprint, this is an underground hardcore / screamo band’s frustrated attempt to break into 1,000 girls’ panties. Peterborough’s We Are Fiction self-release their debut after admirably choosing to leave Rising Records before they really began. Despite similarities with Alexisonfire, there’s a sense of upcoming greatness on the horizon as tracks ‘Feed ‘Em The Right Hook’ and ‘Bitch’ teeter perfectly between a melodic catastrophe and a post-hardcore dream. The quintet may still be honing their sound, but from the cataclysmic noise emanating from this record, something great may just unfold.
