VersaEmerge - Fixed At Zero

Rating: 7

Florida’s VersaEmerge exude the confidence of a mammoth pop outfit who’ve long been treading the glitzy boards of superstardom. It’s hard to believe ‘Fixed At Zero’ is the trio’s debut album, but it seems a likely candidate to propel the plucky upstarts to fame. Sierra Kusterbeck’s flawless vocals slip over a backing of energetic power-pop, buzzing guitars, frantic drumbeats and the odd rich, cello and piano accompaniment, all the while reaching out to tortured teens the world over. Filled with potential singles (albeit possibly the same single), there’s little doubt there’s more where this came from and it’s likely the slick, pop sensations will be pouring out of a radio near you soon.
