Two Tongues - Two Tongues

Rating: 8

Two Tongues is what happens when vocalist Max Bemis and drummer Coby Linder of Say Anything collaborate with vocalist and guitarist Chris Conley and guitarist David Soloway of Saves The Day. The resulting product is a 13-track album that reeks of mutual appreciation and vibrant affection. ‘Two Tongues’ is an up-tempo rock affair that sees Bemis leaving behind the intense first-person neurotic narcissism he is known for, while Conley embraces the darker emotional spectrum as they meet in the grey between their known vocal styles. Some tracks are denim cut-off rock classics, some are lilting summer jams, some are high-hat driven storm chasers. All are great.
