Recalling the likes of early
Ataris and
New Found Glory to mind, with their pocketfuls of pop-punk-fuelled nostalgia scattered on every musical surface,
The Wonder Years invite you to dance, sing, and stare at the horizon and recount summer memories. Emotive and punchy, the Philadelphia six-piece wear their broken hearts firmly on their sleeves and, with a six-strong vocal onslaught saved for special moments, the boys have carved out a clutch of anthems of sorts for another generation of pop-punk fans. An impressive third effort indeed, designed to compel you to throw your fist skyward and indulge in a good old sing-song.
