Ten Second Epic - Hometown

Rating: 7

Having commanded a devoted following in their native Canada since their inception in 2002, Ten Second Epic have packaged their second full-length with bonus tracks from previous releases to assist their assault on the UK. Coming in at just under an hour of guitar-driven pop, single ‘Every Day’ (featuring synth-pop princess Lights) is a standout sample of their upbeat sound, but doesn’t really do this full-length justice. It’s the riffs, melodies and catchy lyrics in ‘First & Foremost’ and ‘Stand Up’ that make this record impossible not to like – give in, and make this your new guilty pleasure.
