A laid back, yet spicy, affair...

After a considerable absence from the studio and two years since the San Diego’s foursome first re-appeared on the musical radar comes physical confirmation that they’re back in action and album number six, the follow-up to the celebrated ‘Shangri-La Dee Da’, does not disappoint. Loaded with heady guitar trips and crunching grooves, all topped off with flamboyant frontman
Scott Weiland’s soulful vocal (which sounds all the better for his newly cleaned-up lifestyle), this is classic STP. ‘Huckleberry Crumble’ is a sweet helping of retro-infused rock while ‘Cinnamon’ is a laid back, yet spicy, affair peppered with the essence of Californian sun. Nice.
