You guys, are Steel Panther kidding? Because they seem to execute their debauched heavy metal far better than a lot of ’80s hair metal bands did in their heyday, and their second album consistently follows suit. But, while the band set themselves up well on songs such as ‘I Like Drugs’ and ‘Just Like Tiger Woods’, the record does rely a little too much on no-brainer jokes about girls (we get it, it’s funny, but can we be in on the joke without being called whores?) – though to take ‘Balls Out’ that seriously is somewhat of a waste of energy.
