Stay Ahead Of The Weather - We Better Get Goin’ If We’re Gonna

Holy crap, this rules! Comprising members of Native and Castevet with Into It. Over It. (aka Evan Weiss), SAOTW started playing together for fun, and it shows on their debut EP. Even though only one song exceeds the three-minute mark, their upbeat, melodic sound is more intricately arranged and technically precise than comparable indie or punk rock bands. Songs like ‘Get Old Or Die Tryin’’ and ‘Sorority Social Suicide’ are melodic and upbeat in the same way that Jawbreaker were, but with enough of a pop influence that they should catch the ears and hopefully expand the tastes of newer music fans.
