The latest album from St Louis, Illinois, quartet So Many Dynamos is definitely a keeper. Fusing the cool placidity of Minus The Bear with unhinged, erratic bursts of energy a la Les Savy Fav and the synth goodness and dance-ability of Q And Not U, this will shake the winter blues in no time. Their self-professed ‘honest’ album exposes its elbows and explores multiple musical corners, escalating into a dancefloor frenzy in each instance. Oh, and I’ll let you into a little secret, their moniker is the same if you read it backwards.
