Skindred have been causing a right royal rumble in the underground since they formed in 98 and their blend of ragga metal is certainly the only of its kind. If 09’s ‘Shark Bites And Dog Fights’ was the album that finally boosted their profile, then album number four can only build on that, especially with rabble-rousing tacks such as ‘Warning’, in which their call of “it’s dangerous” is certainly not wrong. While the verse fuses dub and rock, the chorus of ‘Cut Dem’ recalls the sadly defunct
Skunk Anansie and ‘Own Ya’ is certainly going to cause some bruises when played live. Nice.
