Sevendust - Cold Day Memory

Any fans wanting another Sevendust album to finally rival the likes of their eponymous debut or the outstanding ‘Home’ should go grab this, like…now. With an awesome production, big riffy opener ‘Splinter’ smashes in and sets the bar way high and remains there pretty much throughout, delivering all kinds of winners including the goose-bump inducing powerful melodies of ‘Unravelling’; an instant reminder of just how good this band can be when they get it right. It’s refreshingly up-tempo, tight as hell, and gloriously polished as you’d expect, with some seriously chunky riffs to rival any air-guitar session in recent memory. Awesome stuff.
