NOFX - Cokie The Clown

Rating: 8

Most bands would release an EP’s worth of tracks recorded with their last album as a teaser for their full-length, but NOFX aren’t most bands. Here we have ‘Cokie The Clown’, a cherry-on-top chaser to their latest album ‘Coaster’. With fast, funny tracks such as ‘Straight Outta Massachusetts’ containing a punch line at the end of every verse, the EP’s bitter, acoustic conclusion (‘My Orphan Year’) is enough to catch even the most hardcore of fans off guard, as Fat Mike offers a rare glimpse into the darkest depths of his personal life. ‘Cokie The Clown’ is short and sweet, with a hint of lemon – yum.
