Neon Trees - Habits

Rating: 4

Once upon a time ‘bands’ hit it big by strumming a few chords on a guitar and then saturating the song with synthesisers and hand clap effects. This was a bad time, known as the 80s. So it comes as a shock when a band like Neon Trees emerge 30 years later to try and recreate the awful electro storm that should’ve been consigned to history never to happen again... much like the holocaust. While there’s still a place for catchy, electro-pop Neon Trees are not the band to bring it back. Listen to ‘1983’ and you’ll understand exactly why.
