The latest, self-titled release from Sweden’s answer to
Metallica delivers a fresh batch of enormous, riff-laden, hard rock ‘n’ roll. With shout-along choruses aplenty, the album is as catchy as it is heavy, and tracks such as ‘Mine’ and ‘The Man, The Myth, The Wreck’ will no doubt put any metal fan in danger of developing some serious neck ache. Everything present here – from the “HEY!”-heavy vocals throughout to the S&M-esque closer ‘Tritonus’ – reeks of
Hetfield and the gang, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as
Mustasch do it damn well. Hard rock enthusiasts must-dash (oh dear) out and purchase this record.
