MMF are here to challenge everyone else for the metalcore crown. But is their third full-length any good?

Their second effort on Rise Records,
Memphis May Fire appear more focused than ever. Having toyed with multiple sub-genres in the past, ‘Challenger’ looks to have steadied the ship. The brutality of the breakdowns and throat-cutting growls are balanced by infectious melody and clean vocals, offering possibly their most complete package yet. When the second opener ‘Without Walls’ announces itself, the pace and ferocity is relentless, bar the midway respite ‘Miles Away’, featuring Sleeping With Sirens' Kellin Quinn. Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop also offers his more ruthless, services on ‘Losing Sight’. MMF are done testing the water and look to be legitimate contenders.
