Marmozets: better than your band.

Last year’s ‘Passive Aggressive’ EP cemented Marmozets as one of the most exciting new sounds to come out of the UK in quite some time, largely due to their sheer refusal to stick to any sort of musical convention. ‘Vexed’, not only follows on from that, it’s a solid confirmation that they’re worthy of every inch the hype. It’s 10 times as angry, 10 times as awkward, and frontwoman Becca Macintyre sounds positively unhinged and dangerous throughout, while time signatures and song structures collapse in a flurry of distortion behind her. Vexed? You don’t even know the half of it.
