When Crowbar / Down’s Kirk Windstein and Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta get together with friends to make heavy music you know that it will always sound incredible and album two from the Kingdom Of Sorrow side-project does not disappoint in the slightest, as the mid-tempo monoliths and thrashed-out swamp anthems keep flowing. The excitement for the project may have tapered somewhat but with songs like ‘Sleeping Beast’ and ‘Along The Path To Ruin’ the group show that the Kingdom Of Sorrow project still has incredible life in it. Distorted and contorted; this album is all riff, power and thunder. Brilliant.
