Back with more trademark ADHD indie pop Johnny Foreigner’s sound shows no signs of slowing down. The fifteen songs on this, their second record, fly by on waves of adrenaline and chaotic frenzy. But while that approach contributed to the success of their debut, here any hooks and nuances are buried by the BPM. All the elements are whipped up into one big musical whirlwind that batters its way from one ear to the other leaving little impression on your brain other than chaos and disorientation. Nothing sticks because it’s all so rushed. A disappointing stumble for a hitherto interesting band.
