Less than a year after the release of
Fall Out Boy’s fifth studio album ‘Folie À Deux’, the appearance of a greatest hits collection promptly brings the curtain down on the first part of the quartet’s career. Tightly packed with plenty of reasons to miss the band while they take a break in 2010, the album has strength, depth and solid new material. However, it never quite loses the scent of the contractual obligation that leaks from the speakers throughout the record. Is it a rip-off? No. Is it a curious cliffhanger to a testing album cycle? Yes.
