Faintest Idea - Ignorance Is This

For all their explosive punk rock bluster, Norfolk’s Faintest Idea show us their true colours on the mid-tempo, bass heavy ‘Too Bad’, a rip-roaring two-tone ska track melded on to a super melodic and catchy backing tune. It is one of the album’s highlights, sure to have kids skanking up and down the land; likewise on ‘Western World’ and ‘Bully Boy‘. Other tracks unfortunately fly by in too quick a haze, elements such as guitar solos and double bass pedals thrown in perhaps for the sake of doing so rather than to aid the songs themselves. A promising sophomore effort nonetheless.
