FACT - In The Blink Of An Eye

Often portrayed as little more than wacky, mask-wearing lunatics, the reality is that Fact are somewhat underestimated. On this, their second UK release, the Japanese quintet once again shine with a set of immaculately produced mini-epics which combine a pinch of thrash, a dash of metalcore, a hint of electronica and a big fat helping of sugary pop-punk delights. On paper, this sounds like a total car-crash, but when it all comes together, it does so with aplomb. Commercially-minded, sky-scraping melodies may dominate, yet the band’s intricate, accomplished musicianship and unrestrained exuberance ensure that this remains an absolute winner.
