Shoring up their two-bass, one drummer credentials with their first single ‘Sex W/ Strangers’, Welsh rockers Exit_International finally unleash their highly-awaited EP. Both stark and raw, in stripping down their sound to a scuzzy minimum there’s a detectable punk influence howling beneath the surface. Momentum resides mostly in ex-Midasuno man Scott Andrews’ snarling lyrics and demented screams, however, clenched anger is set against bruising rock that’s both menacing and enticing – especially on ‘Chainsaw Song’. Straight to the point, there are no drawn out epics here, just intoxicatingly good music.
