This is a strong debut...

The extent to which
Kristofer Dommin’s musical sound contradicts his LA hometown can be heard in the darker cloth from which his lyrics are cut. The unassuming artistry on tracks ‘Dark Holiday’ and ‘My Heart Your Hands’ channel all the veteran swagger of
The Bravery’s
Sam Endicott with the bite of
Glenn Danzig, yet still pays testament to old school crooners like
Frank Sinatra.
Dommin could have channelled
HIM sounding heartache here, but the more powerful moments on track ‘Without End’ really allows
Kristofer’s stentorian voice to be heard.
Sometimes implacable intent means tracks occasionally meander, but overall this is a strong debut.
