The sound of sharpening knives on 'World Outside' can only mean one thing: Dizzee Rascal is ready to cut his slice of the acclaimed British artiste-pie, and with 'Maths & English', it's going to be huge. As many other British musicians have recently released 'epic' albums, Dizzee does the same thing, only better. The London rapper's album is packed with a mixture of sharp social commentary, imbedded British history, guest stars, and a dizzying array of excellent songs.

From the brilliant golden-age hip-hop-meets-grime track 'Pussyole' to the irresistibly catchy dance tune 'Flex' to 'Temptation', which samples Arctic Monkeys and is the best song they never recorded, it's hard to find a bad track on the disc. Dizzee sought to capture the collective British identity, and this e=mc got it square on the nose.
