Dinosaur Pile-Up - Growing Pains

Rating: 9

Infused with the spirit of 90s alternative rock, encompassing shades of everyone from Weezer to the Foo Fighters, Dinosaur Pile-Up have a similar knack for blending chunky rock riffs and poppy melodies to thrilling effect. From the hi-octane likes of ‘Birds And Planes’ and ‘Barceloner’ through to the slower but no less raucous ‘My Rock ‘N’ Roll’ and ‘Hey Man’, every song here is a potential single. Whilst offering Rock Sound readers of a certain age a welcoming reminder of the past, DPU’s sound is authentic enough to be thrilling to an entirely new generation as well.
