In these largely uninspiring times when even the most alternative sounds have been rinsed to death, it’s a hard task to find truly vital music. But when the cream does rise to the top, you know you’re onto something special. Enter rising UK hardcore mob, Dead Swans, who, on their debut, have literally nailed it. From the opening strains of ‘Thinking of You’, through final track, ‘Tent City’, this is as dangerous, venomous and downright shit-scary as you’ve heard hardcore be in three years. A truly belligerent bolt out of the blue and one that sets these boys apart by a country mile.
