Buzzov•en - Revelation: Sick Again

Rating: 8

During their heyday, sludge miscreants Buzzov•en walked with a swagger and a chip on their shoulders the size of their North Carolina home. The swagger was the result of the indestructibility that follows one repeatedly surviving the addiction, rehab, violence, imprisonment and bipolar cycle and living to tell the tale. The chip looked suspiciously like a collection of stolen pharmaceuticals. Mired in legal purgatory since its recording in 01, ‘Revelation: Sick Again’ takes you on a wretched sonic journey. You’ll be transported to a time when Sabbath riffs were being bastardised and blackened by reckless dudes with fuck-knows-what swimming through their bloodstreams. Nihilism never sounded this fun.
