Brigade - Love Is A Duel

Brit rockers Brigade return with their EP ‘Love Is A Duel’ and reinvention doesn’t begin to cover the transformation that the four-piece have undergone here. Leading a barbed, frantic attack only hinted at on 08’s full-length ‘Come Morning We Fight’, this is the band’s most ambitious release to date. Fronted by Will Simpson’s vocals the pop hooks are still there but muted as this time the band’s sound is imposed with aggressive musical swells and a template reminiscent of Circa Survive. And they’re all the better for it. Brigade aren’t hopefuls anymore but a band to be taken very seriously.
