Asking Alexandria - Reckless And Relentless

Rating: 8

Apocalyptic metalcore and symphonic arrangements delivered at break-neck speed is the name of the game on ‘Reckless And Relentless’, the second full-length from York mob Asking Alexandria. While they’ve proved they’re more than adept at wielding atypical Underøath guitar lines and BMTH growls previously, this time Asking Alexandria prove they’re to be taken very seriously as they follow Architects’ lead, pushing for the massive (and we mean massive) choruses on tracks like ‘A Lesson Never Learned’. While ‘The Match’ still draws on synthesised moments this is a huge leap forward from 09‘s debut ‘Stand Up And Scream’.
