And So I Watch You From Afar - The Letters EP

Rating: 8

Following on from last year’s self-titled debut (and Rock Sound’s sixth best album of 2009), this four-track EP is a little slither of what’s to come from the ASIWYFA pie later this year and boy, does it taste good! The highlight here is second track ‘D Is For Django The Bastard’, all layered, catchy guitar riffs crashing against a heavier adaptation of the same theme, but that’s not to say the rest of ‘The Letters’ isn’t top notch. While each track blends into the next and recurring themes tie the short but sweet opuses together, this isn’t anything new but why fix something that isn’t broken? We can’t wait for the full-length!
