Adebisi Shank - This Is The Second Album From A Band Called Adebsi Shank

Rating: 9

With a cover boasting zebra’s galloping across a Tron-ish background Irish instru-mentalists Adebisi Shank immediately set out to confound, although it’s actually a fair visual representation of upbeat opener ‘International Dreambeat’. The hell-for-leather frantic pace of their debut has eased somewhat although the results are no less spectacular. The guitar continues to talk in tongues, with weird riffs and beats fluttering from crunch to funk to glitch-techno. Check out the fuzzed-up railroad of ‘Bones’, the head-bopping ‘Genki Shank’ or the Oriental bliss of video game sounds on ‘Logdrum’. This is a raucous, fun ride which you’ll want to be a part of.
