Cytota have said goodbye to vocalist Joby Fitzgerald and will be postponing their September tour.
The band announced his departure in the following statement:
“Hey everyone, this isn’t an easy announcement for anyone involved, and it’s not something I thought we’d ever be writing, or something any of us has taken lightly. It is with a heavy heart, that we have parted ways with singer Joby Fitzgerald. This was down to a realisation in the album writing process, that we wanted to take the band in different directions, and simply wasn’t working anymore.
We wish Joby the best in the world, and we hope you guys will go support him on his future endeavours as well. We thank him and his family for all the amazing times over the past 4 and half years, but now is time to move on.
In light of this development, we have no option but to postpone our September headline shows. Your tickets can be refunded 100%, more details on how to do this will follow shortly. We hope those of you amazing people who have bought tickets understand that we didn’t want to rush finding a replacement, and that you’ll still be there at the re-scheduled shows
We will be releasing details on how you can audition to be our new frontman in the next week, thank you for all the support, and we are extremely excited for this new step in our lives. Cytota will be back, harder than ever.
