Of Mice & Men have announced brand-new album ‘Tether’, set for release October 06.
Announcing the news, the Southern California quartet have today dropped brand-new single ‘Warpaint’ – and it’s huge.
Have a listen to the new track below – and see its video which premieres at 6pm (BST).
The new album will be the follow-up to 2021’s ‘Echo’ and sees each song self-produced and engineered by the band.
Describing the new track, vocalist and bassist Aaron Pauley has said:
“We’re excited to share ‘Warpaint’ as the first single.”
“We feel like it bridges the gap between the OM&M you’ve heard and known, and what’s to come. ‘Warpaint’ is a heavy and anthemic song about resilience, and rallying the courage to face your fears head on.”
And discussing the band’s approach to their forthcoming eighth studio album, which will be the follow-up to 2021’s ‘Echo’, he added:
“With this one, we weren’t really focused on how it sounded as much as we focused on how it felt.
“And that’s a weird thing to do when all you’re working with is sound. But that was really the goal. And we walked away from making it, feeling like we’ve accomplished that.”
See the full ‘Tether’ track-listing below, along with the album artwork, which was designed and painted by the band’s drummer Valentino Arteaga.
