Issues look ahead to album two and 2016 in this month's magazine.
Here's a taste of Tyler and Michael talking about what the album's going to sound like. Of course, there are a few surprises...
IS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT BEING IN ISSUES COMPROMISING AND PLEASING EVERYONE?
Tyler Carter (vocals):"Once upon a time, the band was a little more dictated by me, but we've got to a point where everyone is so valuable. Now it's a lot more collaborative. Even though it can be stressful sometimes, it's much healthier!"
HOW HAS THAT AFFECTED THE WAY THE RECORD IS SHAPING UP?
Tyler:"Like the last one, there's a lot of dynamics. There's even a country song on the record, because we felt, 'Why not?'" Michael Bohn (vocals):"Every song is really different. You can still get the whole Issues vibe, but we really worked on making each one stand out and be its own thing. The country song is pretty funny! It's not like a straight country song, but it's an Issues country song. I like it. Tyler, Josh and I all grew up in Georgia and we all love country music." Tyler: "We also have a hip-hop song, the nu metal stuff we're known for, there's a lot of funk, some jazz..." Michael:"We want to continue to break down those barriers. If there's something that's off the wall that we think we can pull off, we love that challenge!"
