Plus the New Found Glory guitarist opens up about his relationship with Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams.
New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert has hit out at his critics who have judged him during the past year as he divorced Eisley vocalist Sherri DuPree and begun a new relationship with Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams. He recently spoke with Rock Sound about falling in and out of love in the public eye and had this to say on the matter:
''At the end of the day actions speak louder than words,''Gilbert told us recently. ''A lot of people made judgments about my divorce but let's look at it right now. I'm not saying this out of spite but my ex is engaged and gets married in a few weeks so how am I, if you really want to think about it, such a horrible guy if the person I was with a year ago is engaged and getting married. That should be proof enough that what you read is not always what is true.''
He also told Rock Sound that he has no wishes to make details of his new romance with Williams public:
''A lot of relationships put themselves out in the public, we don't do that and we don't really talk about it unless asked. Hayley is my best friend and that is pretty much it. The whole transition to dating Hayley has been super annoying as no one knows the real story on what went down and maybe one day I will write it all down and send it to you guys so you can print it.''
