TesseracT Played An Ice Cold Gig On An Igloo For Jäger The Other Day, Because Of Course They Did

PROMOTED POST: What’s cooler than being cool? Well, playing a show on an igloo in Finland under the Northern Lights comes close.

Genre-blurring UK progressive rock band TesseracT braved frozen fingers and sub zero temperatures to do exactly that for the latest Jägermeister Ice Cold Gig. Don’t believe us? Watch this.

The UK-based chaps played for an hour in the harsh, beautiful surroundings. And to a different crowd than they’re used to, as well. Their usual sea of long hair and black t-shirts was replaced by a crowd of Saami tribespeople. Well it was Finland, after all…

Even so, people travelled from as far as 50km away (no mean feat when you consider everything’s covered in snow) and helped the band build the stage out of 150kg blocks of ice.

“It was absolutely freezing,” reveals guitarist James Monteith “but as soon as we saw the crowd of people adrenalin took over, the hard work was forgotten and we battled through the gig.”

“What an amazing experience it was,” he adds. “Something we’ll remember forever!”

Jägermeister music manager Tom Carson reckons: “The Ice Cold Gigs have become such a prominent feature for our Jägermusic programme that not only do we want to challenge our artists, but we like to challenge ourselves by doing something that’s never been done before.”

Now that was something special, but as TesseracT warm up in front of a fire back in the UK, we can’t help wondering – can anyone go colder?
