Dave Grohl and Co. are coming to London in September to round off the closing celebrations of The Invictus Games.
The band will be playing Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on September 14. Tickets are £49 and go on sale this Friday at 9.00am. Joining them on the bill will be Kaiser Chiefs, Ellie Goulding, Ryan Adams, The Vamps, Rizzle Kicks, James Blunt, Diversity and the Military Wilves Choirs.
And judging from these words, the Foos look might excited to be heading over...
"Invictus games, look out...THE FOO FIGHTERS ARE COMING. What a perfect way to finally return to the UK for the first time in years...been waaaay too long! Thanks for having us, it is truly an honor to come play for these incredible men and women. Can't wait to do our thing for you..."
The show is part of the closing ceremony for The Invictus Games, an international sporting event for injured and sick Servicemen and women. Launched by Prince Harry earlier this year, the games aim to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect of those who serve their country.
