You Me At SixYou Me At Six lead singer Josh Franceschi has told Rock Sound that writing the band's forthcoming second album 'Hold Me Down' was both rewarding and difficult:

"This album has been weird for me," he recently reflected. "A lot of the songs are about me as a person trying to figure myself out while I’ve been on tour. At times I became a very negative person and it felt like everything around me other than the band was falling apart. It was a confusing time and I didn’t know what to do, so writing the record was therapeutic for me. If we hadn’t made 'Hold Me Down' when we did I would have exploded."

But is the frontman happy with the album now it is finished?

"Absolutely, I'm very happy with the record. I wanted us to write an album that reflects our growth as people and musicians and I think we have done that. We have really made something that is everything we hoped our second album would be."

'Hold Me Down' will be released on January 11, 2010. Catch You Me At Six on tour with Paramore at the following shows:
