We Are The Ocean have had to cancel their support slots with The Blackout after singer Dan Brown's injuries following their recent car crash worsened significantly.
In a blog post Dan wrote:
"Guys, we’re all absolutely gutted about this but we’re having to pull out of our upcoming UK shows supporting The Blackout (Dec 2nd Hatfield, Dec 3rd Middlesbrough and Dec 11th Sheffield). As well as these, we are also postponing our Nottingham Rescue Rooms show even further.
"As i’m sure a lot of you heard, we were recently involved in a car crash and unfortunately my injuries have left us with no choice but to cancel the dates.
"Doctors originally informed me that i had a broken ankle and put my leg in a cast. Until yesterday i was on the mend, when i felt a snap in my leg after putting too much weight on it when trying to walk, and i’ve now suffered a fractured leg (the fibula bone to be precise).
Doing the shows would mean me having to either sit down or stand on one leg for the whole set and if you’ve seen us before you’ll know thati’d find that very difficult haha. I hope you all understand and don’t hate on me too much, particularly everyone coming to the Nottingham show, we’ve already cancelled on you once and to now have to cancel the re-scheduled date is heartbreaking for me, but we promise it will once again be re-scheduled as soon as i’m out of cast and jumping around again.
"Don’t bail on The Blackout if you were going for us, still go, they’re awesome dudes and a lot better than us. And we’ll see you all next year with a brand new album!!
