The first two parts of a heart-breaking film covering Chi Cheng's tragic accident are now online
As Deftones were completing something of a victory lap in the UK last month, what with the release of the stunning 'Diamond Eyes' and a Download performance that asserted their return as metal titans, they never missed an opportunity to bring fans' attention to the cause of Chi Cheng, their original bassist.
Grievously injured in a car accident, Cheng remains in a minimally conscious state. One Love For Chi was set up by his family to help with his mounting medical costs and his recovery is essentially funded by the goodwill and generosity of fans worldwide.
A documentary has been made, and the first two parts are now online. It goes without saying, but the below videos make for pretty brutal viewing.
