UnderoathUnderoath are preparing to push the boundaries of hardcore by venturing off the usual tour circuit with gigs in South America, Central America and South Africa.

"With the internet you've got fans everywhere now," bassist Grant Brandell told us. "We've had tons of kids emailing us saying, 'Come here, come here, come here' so it's one of those things where it's finally working out time wise and we're just stoked to do it. It's not like playing a bus tour in the States. You have to pay for airfare, which costs a lot of money, but we want to get to those places. The people who are putting on the tour in South Africa are really cool. They're going to take us out and give us the whole African safari experience. We're pretty excited about that. It's one place I never thought I would go. I can only think of two or three bands that I've met that have been there. It's a totally new experience."

The band have had some problems in the past, almost breaking up a couple of years ago, but Grant says that morale in Underoath is high.
"It's really good, better than it's ever been," he told Rock Sound. "After we had that deal a couple of years ago when we almost broke up for real, everyone's been on good terms. Before we had problems with communication. People weren't telling each other things. We were just building up stuff and that causes problems over time. We're all still human and we get on each other's nerves but we talk stuff out now."

Underoath's new album 'Lost In The Sound Of Separation' hits the streets on September 01. Read our full studio report with them this in this month's issue of Rock Sound - out now!
