ThursdayThursday have uploaded a new track called 'Friends In The Armed Forces' to their Myspace page.

In the new issue of the Magazine, keyboard player Andrew Everding told Rock Sound about the emotive song's meaning:

''That's about a personal experience that Geoff had with somebody that we know who's serving in the Iraq conflict,'' he said. ''It can be forced down your throat to support someone who's fighting for a cause you don't believe in. It's a very touchy subject in America. These people are blowing up houses. How would you feel if somebody killed your entire family? How can you support these people who need you when they come home? We support you as people but we don't support your efforts.

It's a really weird debate. You have to stick to your guns about it but how do you tell somebody, 'What you're doing in wrong' when you're friends with them? I have a relative who went over to Iraq, I grew up with him, we were super-close when we were little and it's hard. His father got upset with me because I wasn't a supporter of what he was doing. How can I support that? I don't agree with it. Hopefully our new president will take care of things and that song can be forgotten about.''
