The Used Continue Work On New Album

The band are already concocting the follow-up to last year's 'Artwork' - but will they be coming back to the UK any time soon?

The Used have posted an update on their progress on their new studio album, which will be their fifth.

A Tweet reads: "We've tracked about 9 demos that we're super excited about. Time for a small break then back to the studio to rethink and rerecord."

So we spun an entire news story out of a single Tweet? Yup, we did. But considering the silence that enveloped The Used's camp after they announced they were cancelling various UK and European appearances due to a public split with their management company - including a spot at Download - it's good that they're gearing up again. Hopefully what emerges from these sessions will be the sound of a band re-energised after the obvious frustration of having to shelve a bunch of dates (subtext: fingers crossed they rip our faces off).

As yet, no tourdates have been announced.
