The BlackoutThe Blackout have confirmed a brace of festive shows to usher in 2009, they are as follows:

DECEMBER
27 - LEEDS Cockpit
28 - LIVERPOOL Academy
29 - STOKE ON TRENT Sugarmill
30 - OXFORD Academy

Rock Sound got in touch with vocalist Sean Smith to find out whether the dates are just an excuse to take mistletoe up and down the country and get loads of snogs, he had the following to say on the matter:

''I plan on getting a few sloppy drunk kisses from people over the festive period, hopefully not just from the band though! Actually the real reason is we will be coming to ruin all your Christmas' like the grinch! Bah fucking humbug.''

But what will Smith's family do while he is away? the cocky singer had an answer for that too:

''While I'm away melting faces with our fantastic blend of rock and extreme metal my family will be sitting at home in sweatshirts my mother has knitted while my dad will have his pipe out!''
