Tek OneAs previously reported on this site, Bring Me The Horizon have announced that they will be releasing a remix album on November 02, via Visible Noise.

'Suicide Season - Cut Up' will feature RobotSonics, Ben Weinman from The Dillinger Escape Plan, Outcry Collective, L’Amour La Morgue (Ian Watkins from Lostprophets), Utah Saints, Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan from Slipknot and rising British dubstep duo Tek-One.

"It's so hard to choose a favourite song from the album," admits Horizon vocalist Oli Sykes. "Right now I'd have to say it is Tek-One's remix of 'Sleep With One Eye Open'. It's the heaviest dubstep tune I have ever heard."

Rock Sound tracked down one half of Tek-One to find out more about their contribution to 'Suicide Season - Cut Up', a few emails later we found Howard Newman, a man who calls himself the Party Sausage. Unperturbed by his moniker we had a brief chat:

What did you want to do to with your remix of 'Sleep With One Eye Open'?
"My aim going into it was to create something epic with a big build up that at least tried to match the heaviness of a Bring Me The Horizon drop. My drummer in Tek-One says I basically created a four minute beatdown! But it's one that maintains the elements that are recognisable as a Tek-One dubstep track."

How long did the cut up take and how happy are you with the final mix?
"It can be difficult remixing a metal band into a dance genre because you don't want to lose that 'heaviness' but at the same time I wanted to maintain the swing of dubstep and keep it dancefloor accessible (well, at least some dancefloors). The track took two days to make and one full day to mix-down. I'm happy with the final mix and I'm also very happy that the boys have said they love listening to it as much as I loved doing it!"

Had you ever heard of Bring Me The Horizon before being invited to contribute to this project?
"Who the fuck, with an internet connection, hasn't? After completing this track I wrote the band's intro for Reading & Leeds festival and went along to see it drop live. Most enjoyable!"
