Sonisphere 2010 - 65daysofstatic Keep It Hectic

65daysofstatic might not fit in with the vast majority of Sonisphere's bill, but the Sheffield dance-noise warriors aren't fazed. More power to 'em, we say. Who needs a corset and loads of make-up when you can make people dance like they're having a violent seizure?

"I like the fact we can play a festival like this. Next week we’re soundtracking a dance performance in Edinburgh, which is about as far away from Sonisphere as I can imagine! I like how we can straddle loads of different things. We feel a little bit out of place but we’ve felt out of place at festivals for a long time," Joe Shrewsbury told Rock Sound onsite today.

Fuelled by the success of last album 'We Were Exploding Anyway', the band aren't worried about having to tailor their set to fit in with the overwhelmingly rock crowd.

“Is it us being malleable or of us appealing to different people?," asked Paul Wolinski. "That’s a nicer way of putting it... It’s not particularly accessible music but it does appeal to lots of people. The new stuff seems to just kick off in quite a hectic manner.”
