Slipknot Prepare For Download
Vocalist Corey Taylor tells Rock Sound how the band are staying healthy ahead of their festival headlining slot.
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has told Rock Sound about the band's preparations to ensure that all nine members are fit and healthy for this year's Download Festival.
''Everyone has been sequestered to padded rooms,'' he admitted recently. ''All food is being eaten with plastic bendy silverware. Actually, we're ready - we've been waiting a long time for this, you know? I've been doing some solo shows, playing some solo material that doesn't fit with either band. Plus I've been building a studio in Des Moines so I can start recording and producing bands mainly from the Midwest. Just getting ready to build the Midwestern Empire.''
He also told Rock Sound what he is looking forward to at the festival. ''Three words my friend; Faith No More motherfucker!''
Technically Corey that's four, but hey, who's keeping count.
