Rolo TomassiWith World Cup fever beginning to grip the nation Rock Sound is proud to present the music industry's ultimate tribute to the beautiful game, the Big Scary Monsters 5-A-Side tournament!

128 band members and music industry types, sixteen teams, a few pitches, one day and only one winner. It's guaranteed to be a low skill, high contact thrill-a-thon replete with plenty of arguing, excuse making and poorly timed challenges.

Presented by Rock Sound and Disc Manufacturing Services the tournament will take place on Saturday June 05 at the Regents Park Powerleague centre. The full list of teams entering the 2010 tournament is below:

As sponsors the pressure is on for Rock Sound, are the team worried about expectation? Not one bit.

"It's foolish to brag at this point," admits Online Editor Andy Kelham. "But we have prepared well under the guidance of our new mentor Luther Blissett and we're confident that what he has taught us will serve us well when it comes to the big day."

The draw for the first stage of the tournament is to be made at 6.00pm on Friday May 14 in Brighton, ahead of the Big Scary Monsters (free entry to all) Alternative Escape showcase at the Pav Tav.
