DefeaterFile this one under: WTF, man. Also: brilliant.

Defeater's Jay Maas was commissioned by LEGO - yes, LEGO - to create a hardcore song... about LEGO, as originally reported by Bridge9.

So, after Toby Dutkiewicz and Seth Decoteau [one of the righteous dudes who runs Topshelf Records] wrote a ditty by the name of 'LEGO, Let's Go!', Maas performed all the music and enlisted B9 lynchpin Chris Wrenn to do vocals. Using the building metaphor to talk about hardcore communities? Genius.

[To check out Defeater playing songs that aren't about small plastic bricks, catch them on the Rock Sound Riot Tour with Every Time I Die, Trash Talk and Spycatcher, which starts next week. Click here to buy tickets.]

Then - and here's where it moves from 'pretty cool' to 'fuck-a-doodle-doo this is hyper-awesome' - they came up with an animated video of a hardcore show... all rendered in LEGO. Trust us, you have to watch this - it makes Benton the dog look like a fucking twat.
